What does everyone carry in the way of first aid gear? Personally I just carry a small pouch on my belt with CPR shield, nitrile gloves, alcohol wipes, and a few band aids.

Stethoscope

5x9 abdominal pads

Funny you should mention that as well as being the Safety/Security Officer at a local Store. I'm also a member of my town's Emergency Medical Services Department. I keep all that in a trauma bag.

Oh ok cool, so it's more for your EMS position then? Are you volunteer or full time?

There was an article in my town newspaper about a lack of members in my towns EMS department. So I saw the EMS coordinator and talked to him about it and he suggested I apply. A week later I had forgotten all about and as I was walking past town hall he was pulling out of the parking lot he yelled at me from his vehicle to pick up an application at the front desk. I did and the rest is history. When I joined EMS was a part of my towns Bylaw Enforcement Department. Then we went under the Department of Public Works. Now we are our own department.

Ah k cool, so are you a firefighter as well or just EMS?

Just EMS my town is the only town where EMS is a municipal run third service. The other municipalities that run their EMS have it under their Volly FDs.
