Calgary is booming right now but remember most security sites are contract and the wages are going up slowly due to contracts

Calgary is booming? thats crap.... i just moved back to NB after spending 6 months in Calgary.... sure, if you want to work security for 10-12$ an hour, there are security jobs, but the good paying jobs are almost long gone... unless you have contacts, good luck buddy. The best i could find was 15$ an hour doing security...and by security, i mean doing the dirty job for lazy CP force

Accepting bribes is not a good custom. But, somewhere, may be it is considered as normal practice & no employer bothers about this. There are many norms in industry & they are accustomed of bribes.

Bribes are a no go where I worked. There's no need, your paid to do a job. Period. Do it, get paid, go home, hopefully unscathed.

The only bribes i get is a free Hotdog or the odd ice cream cone from the food truck.
